Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sentio at sentio.report (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What Sentio is
Sentio reads public news and social signals about a stock and distills them into a sentiment read, along with the headlines and context behind it. The Portfolio Scanner can also display sentiment across the holdings you choose to connect. It is an informational and research tool.
2. Not investment advice
Sentio is not investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner, and we do not provide discretionary or non-discretionary advice. Nothing on the Service is tailored to your individual circumstances. Sentiment, valuations, and any illustrative outlook are generated from public data and AI, and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Markets carry risk, including loss of principal. Always do your own research and consider consulting a licensed professional before making any investment decision. Any action you take based on the Service is your sole responsibility.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Authentication is handled by a third-party authentication provider.
4. Credits and payments
- Your first 3 scans are free. After that, the Service runs on prepaid credits that you purchase in packs. Credits do not expire.
- Running a scan, and connecting or scanning a portfolio, consumes credits at the rates shown in the app at the time. We may change pricing prospectively.
- Payments are processed by our third-party payments provider, which acts as Merchant of Record. Your purchase is also subject to that provider's terms.
- Because credits deliver a digital service immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion. Contact us if something went wrong with a purchase.
5. Connecting a brokerage
The Portfolio Scanner uses SnapTrade to establish a read-onlyconnection to your brokerage. You authorize the connection inside SnapTrade's hosted portal; your brokerage credentials never touch our servers. We can read your holdings to build your portfolio view — we cannot place trades, move funds, or modify your account. You can disconnect at any time. Your use of SnapTrade is also subject to SnapTrade's and your brokerage's terms. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle this data.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its data.
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute reports or data except as the Service expressly allows.
- Use the Service to violate any law or any third party's rights.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content (other than third-party data and your own data), is owned by Sentio and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that sentiment, market data, prices, or any output is accurate, complete, timely, or uninterrupted. Market and brokerage data are sourced from third parties and may contain errors or delays.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any trading or investment losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
